Most carriers allow only up to 100lbs personal items in the truck. However, personal items must be secured safely so that they will not move around and damage the vehicle during transport. Carriers are not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
There are a few things you can do to prepare your vehicle for auto shipping. First, make sure the car is clean and free of debris. You should also remove any personal items from the car, and take down any antennas or GPS devices. If you have a sunroof, be sure to close it. Finally, check the fluid levels and tires to make sure they are in good condition.
Depends on your vehicle type, shipping distance, and budget. We work with a huge network of car haulers to provide as many options for our customers as possible so they can make a choice that fits their needs. Open and enclosed shipping is relatively the most popular and safest options.
You don’t necessarily have to be there, but someone needs to be available to sign off during the pickup & delivery. Someone also must be there to provide and grab the key back from the driver. If you plan on having someone else sign off for your car on your behalf, try to let your agent know in advance so they know to who they can release the vehicle.
Yes, we provide scheduled pickup/delivery dates that work with your schedule! All you need to do is let your agent know what dates you need your vehicle picked up and we will coordinate with the carrier.
We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure that your order is secure. We do offer expedited service for faster pickups, but it’s important you let us know if there are any emergencies!
You should allow yourself to have at least 2 weeks of flexibility on your first available car shipping date. The market conditions change often and it’s better to be safe, especially if you need the vehicle picked up/delivered by a certain date. Ask your dedicated agent about guaranteed pickup and delivery services for urgent transport requests.
Unless mentioned otherwise, it’s always assumed the car is in running condition. To load the car onto the car hauler, usually, the driver will slowly drive the car up the ramp onto the trailer. If the car is inoperable then the driver will need to use a winch to load the car. Not all drivers have a winch handy, so if your car is inoperable, make sure to mention this when booking the car shipping order.

No, it’s not necessary. We provide door-to-door shipping services, meaning, our drivers will pick up your vehicle at your pickup/delivery address if it’s safe and legal. If the area is not truck friendly, you can always meet the driver at a safe location, as close as possible to the destination of your choosing.
